Peter Cicchetti

Peter joined VRS in 2021 after graduating from the University of Liverpool with a Masters in Chemistry. Having quickly realised his scientific talents might be better suited outside of the lab, he swapped the pipette for recruitment and hasn’t looked back since.

Now a Senior Scientific Recruitment Consultant, Peter specialises in Engineering and Commercial recruitment across the scientific sector, with particular expertise in analytical instrumentation. From chromatography and mass spectrometry to laboratory automation and scientific equipment, he works closely with instrument manufacturers, service providers and laboratories across the UK to find the people who keep science moving.

Half-Italian and always keen to put his language skills to the test, Peter is a regular visitor to Italy - although his enthusiasm for Italian food currently far outweighs his fluency!

Outside of work, Peter is rarely one to sit still. A keen lacrosse player, triathlete and gym-goer, he can usually be found lifting something heavy, running after a ball or questioning why he signed up for another endurance event. When he does finally slow down, good food and travelling are normally involved.
